Evolution named a JLG Selection

Zander and I have been hard at work on another nonfiction graphic novel, and we're happy to announce that it will officially hit shelves on January 4, 2011.

Evolution: The Story of Life on Earth is a sequel to the much-lauded The Stuff of Life: A Graphic Guide to Genetics and DNA. Like Stuff, Evolution teaches hard science through the eyes of an objective third party, the alien Squinch, who are studying Earth to discover clues about themselves. Like the title suggests, Evolution explores how life developed on our planet. Zander and I were thrilled to work with science comics writer Jay Hosler on this book, and we can't wait for you to read it!

We are also excited to announce that the Junior Library Guild has designated Evolution as a "Junior Library Guild Selection" for Fall 2010, and they sent us a certificate and pin to prove it:

To promote Evolution we've got a fun series of blog posts that we'll announce tomorrow.

Do you know if this book will be available in most book stores

This book should have wide distribution. Stuff of Life is available at most Barnes & Nobles, so if that's any indication, Evolution should be available there, too.
